Considered a staple by many Nova Scotians, often found on the kitchen table along with fresh bread and butter. Recipe adapted from Sara’s Nanny Marie Adams née Deadder.
Sweet and tangy mustard pickles made with sliced cucumber and onions. Gently spiced with turmeric, celery seeds, and mustard seeds simmered in apple cider vinegar.
Ingredients: cucumbers, onions, cider vinegar, sugar, mustard, salt, turmeric, celery seed.
Ingrédients : concombres, oignons, vinaigre de cidre, sucre, moutarde, sel, curcuma, graines de céleri.
